I'm unbelievable proud (I'm austrian and I Conchita is from my town, she was at the same school as me). She had the best song, I knew she would win! <3 In your face, haters! In your face, homophobic politicans and intolerant human beings! She slayed them all.

She didn't have the best song, not even top 5 tbh, she had the best gimmick, that's all. Why do you think TCL are more successful on iTunes WW?

"best song" is very subjective and success doesn't necessarily correlate with that, it's a bit like saying "why do you think Katy Perry is more successful on iTunes".

:wtf: stop with the jealousy and be happy that Conchita won. It's just your opinion. It always happens that most people disagree with the winner, because they liked somebody else. It's called an opinion. But Conchita had the most people that liked her performance, so she won.

And it's weird to see how some Gaga fans react to her. What did Gaga do at the VMAs in 2011? Pretty much the same :toofunny:

I doubt that.

So why Poland got the lowest jury score exactly from countries with big diaspora?

At the end of the day I don't care since I'm also not a fan of boobs. But you know no.1 country in televiting deserves anything imho (ARTPOP lol)

I see what you mean BUT if speaking about the general sense of the Eurosongcontest people always rush to say it shouldn't be about politics.....unless it's about LGBT rights... yeah ok.

That is your opinion, it's not a fact. Some people think that Austria had the best song, clearly more people did than The Netherlands. Sorry.

That's because Conchita wasn't known worldwide before. And why should I care about iTunes sales anyway? The song was awesome and so was her message and performance. Conchita for president!

I'm not one of these. It's obvious that it's about politics, demographics and everything and almost everybody knows that.

The results yesterday were surprising though. Baltan nations gave 12 points to the Netherlands, most of East-Europe didn't care for Russia and the disappearance of Cyprus, Turkey and a few balkan nations makes everything quite a lot fairer tbh. But a lot of that is thanks to the jury. Poland indeed should've gotten higher, and that's also the case with Austria in my opinion. The jury has a bit too much impact, they should do it like the Olympics - the lowest and the highest jury score disappear, to make it less about politics. And the Jury should count for 1/3 or 2/5 of the total result, not 1/2.

Well I dunno about Poland, I predicted they'd end up between 10 and 15 so for me it's no surprise. I suppose the immigrant votes were high in the UK and Ireland, let's be honest. Same way why Netherlands would always give 12 to Turkey before. And a lot of Turkish votes were accumulated that way.

I doubt 12 points for the Netherlands and Norway are all immigrant votes, specially for Norway.

The thing for me is, let's say San Marino would have had Conchita's song, she would not have won.

San Marino is a bad example tbh. But if it was France or the UK or another Big 5 country, she wouldn't have won.

Funny how not being in the semi finale is more of a disadvantage than an advantage. And I hope the French get why nobody votes for them; things like talking in French while everybody else did it in the best English they could.

This has probably been mentioned so sorry, but was the Graham Norton section with the presenters staged/scripted?
