What do we reckon that Ireland's chances of qualifying for the final are???

She defended Conchita and is against homophobia. Hopefully the gays will vote for her

I think that she may flop. If not in semi then in final - something is lacking live.

I think Conchita will do well. Yes, of course I don't think so from the highly conservative countries like Armenia, Russia, Turkey, Belarus etc. But countries like United Kingdom, Germany, Netherlands, Sweden, Malta, etc will probably give very high points. I think people will appreciate that it is someone different performing it a way that is not a gimmick and there is a legit talent there.

And plus she has received huge press in the last few weeks and has been the most talked about contestant.

I just hope people will vote for her for the music and not only for her looks

the song had alot of potential with a good show, but shes just standing there in a prom dress.. it might go to final but will probably be forgotten there

Remember that you are unique. Like everyone else.

Do you guys remember this epic winner?

Sertap Erener from Turkey (2003)

She's my favorite winner of all times (after Loreen, of course) :flutter:

I wish more countries would combine traditional music with modern trends.

I've becoming addicted to Eurovision entries this year.

Because Australia is stanning for ESC, I was able to discover Eurovision after moving here just last year. I'm still pressed that Croatia and Serbia who are my faves last year withdrew this year. lol

Anyway, my faves are:

UK - the song is simply haunting. The back vocals really helped on the song.

Armenia - beautiful song. I like how it builds up and it explodes at the end. Though it seemed very short.

Poland - Song is really infectious and the video is so addictive. :teehee:

F.Y.R. Macedonia - Very catchy song but awkward video

Sweden has a good song but it's overrated imo. Iceland is pretty forgettable and Latvia... :awkney:
