That wasn't a matter of recording quality, it was a stylistic choice made by Gaga and Fernando. Trust me, for an album that was hyped as much as BTW I doubt they'd use any less than the finest recording techniques to get crystal clear vocals. The way the vocals sound on Marry The Night, Americano and even Dance in the Dark (all Garibay songs) are the result of vocal filters that were added after recording - not lacking recording techniques. In regards to the vocal quality of some of those songs. Garibay himself said something along the lines of "Gaga's voice is so powerful we just used the mic on a MacBook to record vocals." Yes she says she could give an old track a makeover but what I meant was what makes people so sure about NOBTR in particular?
