If the release is being put off until May, why not just put the single up for preorder until that time? Everyone else is doing it and it makes sense for a lot of US artists who want to focus on promoting in their own country. If it's not available for preorder, the Brits move on from songs real quick if they get a far-off release date. It makes me mad that everyone else is getting #1's so easily because they cheat with preorders. Calvin Harris's new single is going to debut with over a month's worth of preorders when it finally gets released at the end of April, which totally isn't fair. It may be the easy way out, but if everyone else is doing it and she can't seem to get #1's anymore, Gaga simply has no choice but to go that route. It's a wonder Polydor haven't already made the decision for her. I thought that an artist's foreign equivalents decided on the release status of songs anyway in order to tailor it to the way their country works. It should be clear as day that Gaga used to get #1's so easily in the UK and now she's struggling worse than some breakout artists, so there needs to be some sort of turn-around concerning how her music is released here. The whole on air/on sale thing may make Gaga feel better if she can get hits without cheating but now the hits have dried up, there's no other choice. It makes me sad to see amazing artists like Gaga fall from grace in the UK due to her poor release schedules when people like Rihanna can release a lead single at any time with zero promotion and no video and it goes straight to #1. The loss of her UK audience (and currently, her Australian audience too), should be of urgent importance to Interscope right now as they were always one of her major markets but they don't seem to give two hoots.

Not meaning to pile on, but she can't even sustain in the Top 150 in the US. I think Interscope must be overwhelmed by the sudden drop in her charting. I'm not saying this in a shady way towards Gaga herself, but they probably never expected it and almost have no idea how to handle it.

I just want Gaga to have that hit again. I know she doesn't care about the charts but honestly it's shocking to see her struggle to even get into the TOP 50 on iTunes.

Even Alejandro shot up to 8 during the midnight when it was a announced as a single..

Alejandro shot up because the video was released in what June? weeks after the song was announced as a single which was in April

Oh okay well This video is much more high budget and it's more "prettyga" and it's struggling to even rise..

with 16 million hits on youtube you'd think G.U.Y be doing well but it's struggling to get into the top 100 on most iTunes..  :wtfga:
