Maybe I'm reading too much into it but, she didn't seem to be having fun, and as a result, the video didn't seem fun. She looked like she was just going through the motions. SHE DOESN'T TRY TO CONNECT THE SCENES, so I would consider it messy if she tried to connect the scenes even vaguely. In my opinion, it's just a typical video and nothing more, nothing less. I'm pretty tired of all the darkness in her videos and I wanted something brighter for a switch. Of course I knew it was going to be black and white since Gaga announced that a few days ago, so it wasn't too much of a let down...but enough with all the dark videos. Also, I think some of the graphics make the video seem kinda low-budget/cheap. Could have done a better job overall. All in all, the video isn't bad, but it definitely isn't anywhere close to anything else Gaga has done. It's just a whatever video for me I guess. honestly, the videos i liked most by lady gaga are edge of glory and eh eh, both were incredibly uber emotional, super simplistic, and just really vibey i think when lady gaga's art becomes complex, or possibly when she tries to make things complex, she ends up underperforming, and of course im saying this with no sort of validation at the front of my mind right now ha but still this video made me smile, because she was smiling in it sometimes, but other than that, i was like eh...eh eh, there's nothing else i can say, but then again idk...i saw the inez and vinoodh videos and they were just as boring so...collaboration effect, or just pseudo intellectual art? ;) Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...

I like the fact that the scenes are not connected. We are not 5yo kids we don't need to have full story served in video.
