Katy has always had bigger radio hits than Gaga. Katy's AI is much higher on many songs.

Still, craig descriptions of that 2 smash singles doesnt match Applause. So I guess its a moderate hit also for craig, so I still choose those 2 smashes and those 2 moderate hits ( that may go top 10 like Applause or not).

 

Applause is definitely on track to sell more than 2 million. Hasn't even peaked on radio and will be about 1.25 m after this week.

Yet BTW is her best album, the BTWB her best tour, the BTW era promo her best vocals, her most artistic videos and saved many precious lives.

I believe a smash hit or a #1 exposure has more probability of spawning a moderate hit (or another #1 like KP and Rihanna's consecutive hits), compared to a decent single (2x platinum at best) replicating its success onto the next one like P!nk's earlier singles. Another example would be Britney's Circus against Blackout (though the lack of promotion was also a factor to the poor performance of the singles from Blackout). Or Rihanna's Unapologetic album with Diamonds and Stay. Or even Beyonce's earlier singles. 

 

But then again, there's also the trend of huge smash hits completely overshadowing its succeeding singles, but that's only limited to lead singles, don't they? If I've to choose between a smash hit which can sell at least 4 million in the US (and 7 million WW) and a string of moderate hits that would sell 2 million at best, I'd easily choose the former since its massive sales could make up the combined sales of its succeeding singles anyway.

It will sell 2 m, but if it wasnt the lead single it will probably not match your description for moderate hit.

I know these are quite some to request on but they're all very important. There are HAC, Top 40/Pop, Rhythmic and AC request links! If you can do all it would give Gaga a huge boost! If you want  100 mil AI, you better work b---h!
