Mills 446
In my opinion Gaga has quite a strong touring reputation already. I went to see Gaga cause I knew that she's amazing live and I have to see her show, although I was not a fan at the time (became a fan after seeing her live). I've visited many concerts before knowing that the artist I'm going to see is a great live performer and I want to get entertained., not that I'm that big of a fan. Gaga has that thing going on where people say that they are not her biggest fans but it would be great to see her live and that's why both of her tours did that well. You don't gross $200 million dollars if only your hardcore fans are attending. That's my opinion :) Agreed. Her last world tour wouldn't gross that much if she just relied on the success of her album. The fact that it was bound to gross more than $200 million prior to the cancellation despite having only two huge worldwide hits from the album (BTW and TEOG) already somewhat establishes her as a touring force to be reckoned with. People may not appreciate her music, but based on what I've heard and seen both online and in real life is that it's almost universal that Gaga's capability as a live performer is being recognized. It's not impossible for the next tour to perform way better than the actual album itself.

craig 680
Thing is, you only go to a tour if you're a fan. You go see her because you like her and thus only fans and the people they bring with them go to tours. Gaga hasn't reached that time where the GP will be buying her tickets because she doesn't have the touring reputation of a Madonna yet. Everybody needs to see Madonna once in their life and everybody tells eachother how good she's in touring etc. Gaga doesn't have this yet and people aren't going to spend 100$ on Gaga because he likes her album and plays it in the car to work. Lot of people went to the Monster Ball because Gaga was the cultural phenomena of the moment, and she generally impressed her audience. There are fans here for her tours who download all their music illegally.

That's my opinion :) This is so true, even a couple of my teachers that know im a Gaga fan and have seen her live, asked me if ive ever gone to her concerts, like no ones ever said "she sucks live" "her tours are boring". I cant name anyone. like even if you dont like her you know she puts on a good show. So yeah, Id say shes already built a pretty strong reputation for touring..Not like Madonna yet of course

Also I have to add here that in countries like mine and other not big countries a concert by a huge POP STAR like Lady Gaga is the event of the year. Lana del Rey gathered 30.000 people and Gaga has the same fans with her here. I mean if Lady Gaga for example announces a show here for February now, all the media will overproduce it and people will certainly go there. But I doubt it is the same with US.. craig 680
Remember when we said we were sure that MTN would smash because our officemates, classmates, friends, etc. said to us they like it. Not really, and I was here back them. What happened was everyone convinced themselves Judas flopped because of the lyrics not the beats, and so the chart obsessed ignored MTN's noisy and uncatchy production but worried about Scheisse being too weird and saying sh*t. AURA 2,890
She hasn't even come in my country yet! :'( :( I'm sure she'll go in the future. I never thought she'd come in Romania, lol. I've been praying since 2008 that she comes, then, after she was announced, I prayed that I'll attend.... and I haven't. That was one of the worst nights of my life
