Maybe another factor is that Miley doesnt have the credibility in the urban hip hop world. I dont know so many songs that talk about d--gs and are played to radio, especially in this days, when so many people seems to be so easily offended and worried. ...like she used to during BTW era. We will get 3 perf of Applause, but probably when the album comes out. Born this way was performed only one time at the Grammys until the release of the album, when we got the second US perf on SNL.
