They need to pick a central theme and stick with it in Season 1 it was the ghosts/people and haunted house and season 3 it'll be the witches and voodoo queen whereas in season 2 it was too much (aliens, serial killers, demonic possession, and scientific experimentation). Faces half gone, a mouth sewn shut with excrement inside, and the Minotaur! I was so sickened by the opening but I also loved it and it hooked my right it and reminded me why I love this show! Kathy Bates always plays the most sickening/amazing characters! The gang-rape scene is really awkward to watch and I felt so bad for Emma's character!
