Cherry 17
People on this very thread have always said "it'd be a bit higher if it weren't for the preorders" Like Selena's Slow Down. Still, like you said, the sales were factored in on the Hot 100.I think that's just people assuming things. As far as Selena goes, the amount of album sales (or pre-orders) it takes to go top ten on the iTunes albums charts is substantially less than it takes to go top ten on the singles charts. And none of her singles sold that well immediately, not even "Come & Get It".

Blank Space 0
It counts a single purchase because you're not charged for the full price of the album until it comes out; you can cancel the pre-order anytime and if you did that you would get a free single. You're charged $1.29 for the single and the rest of the album price is charged on release date.It does show on the iTunes chart and always has. IDK where this 'it doesn't count' thing is coming from. "Till the World Ends", "Give Me All Your Luvin'", and "Mirrors" all were top ten on iTunes roughly around the time their respective pre-order albums hit #1 on the album charts.edit "Die Young" tooSo does that mean I must preorder album to get single?I thought it was seperately you can buy single and preorder album like a full album? Klou 2,414
Cherry, you're right about everything being accounted for, but anyone that pre-orders is NOT reflected on iTunes/KWORB. I already verified this with GMAYL. It was released on a Friday and "appeared" to never reach top 10 before her Super Bowl performance. When Billboard released the digital sales the next Thursday for Friday - Sunday, it HAD reached somewhere in the top 5.

I hate that I have to know with Gaga. Cherry, you're right about everything being accounted for, but anyone that pre-orders is NOT reflected on iTunes/KWORB. I already verified this with GMAYL. Klou 2,414
Bottom line everyone: Don't worry about pre-ordering or just buying the single. Every single "single" will be counted toward its debut, but it will just appear to be less when we look at KWORB. Whatever it's % on KWORB is, just know it will be slightly higher. It was definitely #2 by sometime Sunday night and was top ten (or maybe even top five) Friday/Saturday. Edited July 28, 2013 by Cherry

The offer expired a few days after the Superbowl.
Cherry 17
Klou, "GMALY" debuted #7 on the digital chart which is consistent with it being somewhere around #8 the first two days and then around #2 on Sunday night (which is how I think I remember it happening, but my memory of that is a bit fuzzy). So basically, if you just pre-order the album, and acquire the single that way, it's counted for the weekly Billboard Digital Chart, but isn't reflected in the iTunes Top Singles Chart? Seems like there's only one sure-bet: buy the single AND the album pre-order ;) I was gonna do that anyways, so I don't even know why I'm asking all these questions.
