Mariano 958
If Katy wanted to release the same week as Gaga, that wouldn't actually be a bad idea... it could potentially boost her first week sales since the increased traffic in stores from pop music fans would draw extra attention to her album, especially since their audiences overlap. Similarly to Kanye and Nicki releasing on the same day in 2010. But I have a feeling she'll either release before Gaga, or on Thanksgiving week. yeah me too If she releases this year I can totally see her releasing before Gaga or exactly on Thanksgiving to boost her first week sales ... Cherry 17
This is probably just wishful thinking, but wouldn't it be wonderful if Gaga managed to have the #1 album in the country in its third week, the week of Black Friday, outselling the army of new releases? I hope she at least holds #1 for two weeks, but that's kind of iffy considering how many major releases drop in Q4.

She could regain that position in 2014 though.
Alexandre 88
But why aren't sales & streaming taken into account too? They only count the sales and streaming of the week before, when it won't be out yet! *Edit: The streaming and sales week end on Sunday and the radio airplay week ends on Wednesday. Pop Art 1,773
#69 Right Now - Rihanna Did this really fall? Rihanna sis, your Marry the Night is happening  Her Marry The Night moment (and worse) already happened with If It's Lovin' that You Want, We Ride, Wait Your Turn, Redemption Song, Rockstar 101, Te Amo, Raining Men, California King Bed, Man Down, Talk That Talk, and Cockiness (Love It). And that was me being generous - there were a few more that could have fit on that list that I was nice enough to exclude.
Cherry 17
^ And that's what annoys me, because Rihanna has had more than just a few duds and underperforming singles, but when just ONE of Gaga's singles fails to make the top ten, everyone wants to harp on about it. But I suppose she's just held to a higher standard than most of her peers, I guess.

MANiCURE1295 8,673
Honestly everyone makes Rihanna out to Be some huge act. But her tour sales are average at best. Her album sales are below average for a star of her caliber and she only has a couple of high digital tracks that have sold a lot. Rihanna uses her constant releases as a way to cover all this up. She's always just "here".
