I actually like his debut album very much. He IS talented. Dangerous Man 9,245 Posted June 16, 2013 Share Posted June 16, 2013 Even though Bruno's latest songs aren't that catchy and tuneful compared to the songs in his debut studio album, particularly its singles, Unorthodox Jukebox isn't an utter disappointment either. It did live up to its name, at least for me - since the overall music of UJ sounds unorthodox, unconventional, unusual to the recent composition of the Mainstream Top40. But that's also the limitation of UJ. Intended to be unorthodox, it unfortunately comes off as outdated - to an extent that he's being widely crticized as a Michael Jackson rip-off in the same way how Gaga's being, fairly or not, compared to Madonna. It seems it has become a trend to criticize artists who want to stand out from a crowd of artists who just follow what's hot in pop music. If I'm not mistaken, Bruno Mars is arguably the first and only solo artist in modern history who have successfully sent his first two singles from his first two studio albums to the top of the HOT 100 chart. I didn't implied that you hate Bruno also. In addtion, before I've been posting Bruno update on daily basis here, these guys have been already bashing/dragging Bruno esp. when LOOH topped the chart. Just like what Thirteen have said, these guys aren't complaining when everyone is talking about Kesha or Selena even if it costs 2-4 pages of this thread. While, when Bruno is talked here even for just at least half of a page, these haters are acting like it's end of the world and they want to quickly end the Bruno discussion, which UNFAIR and BIASED. and why did you even respond to me that they are mad coz i was posting Bruno update too much, where in fact I was pointing out on how people here dissed him like accusing him for using payola on every single he release? It's a very summer-y album plus you'll be supporting your own queen. I liked Inna songs like "Hot", "Deja Vu" , "Sun Is Up" or even "Un Momento" (that song ) but I didn't like her last single.
