I can't deal As a director, yes. They are pretentious drek where actors in gravely voices monologue IMPORTANT STUFF at eachother. Not even the action scenes could save it cause it was filmed so dark and so badly that you get a migraine trying to focus. Story is riddled with plot holes and pointless filler. Does it matter? lol I know how to at least plot a movie and write dialogue that seems to be coming out of the mouth of a person, instead of an mannequin with a script and a voice that became the product of ridicule. Sorry that you allow metacritic to make your opinions for you. Its okay though, I bet you love Blurred Lines and Oscar Winning Snoozefests as well, don't you? Its okay, I bet your wool is cozy. And I'm judging them as a person who knows and has studied film, via an experienced opinion. Rather than you gushing about some overhyped abomination.
