I’m gonna be honest.

Mayhem.

Its not a bad album but I wanted her to have a record like Disease-Abracadabra-Perfect Celebrity- Happy Mistake.

the cheese michael added felt like a generic version of Gaga being forced to make the original LG5 for fan-fodder.

she should have stuck more with the crazy mistress thing and called the album something more thought provoking. Her concepts used to be stronger.

Honest question: If you dislike Addison Rae's music, Slayyyter, Confessions II, what recent music do you listen to? Do you stream Woman's World, Beethoven, Viking Norse sagas audios, Babylonian/Middle Egyptian chants? :billie: What is the answer?

Well tbf I like two of Slayyyter's songs :derpga:

& I like two songs from C2 :derpga: (a few others are okay)

Overall, though- apart from one or two new Egyptian chants- recent music hasn't really excited me much

confessions 2

the first song she put out was cool, BYL is also a fun bop but so many of the songs do absolutely nothing for me...

Yeah I'll agree with this, I listened a couple of times but can't tell you anything about the album other than "everybody get up and danceee" :neyde:

BYL and Danceteria are the only 2 that made it onto my regular playlist

I wish there were more songs like that

Chromatica

My first first hand Gaga pop album experience was a let down, my 1st first hand experience of a Gaga pop era was a disaster.

Otherwise I nver held too many expectations to others.

NUTELLA

@dynamite@nATAH

Neydeen, Natahlia... no, no

Danceteria & BYL are the two most overrated songs on the album (according to everyone on this site whose name is @NUTELLA)

Danceteria is flaccid... & BYL is a weak sketching of Love Sensation (which should have been the lead single)

Just imagine how exciting those few weeks before album release would have been if THAT had been our first taste of CONFESSIONS 2.......

Christina Aguilera's "Bionic" comes to mind. I'm not particularly an Aguilera fan, but I remember Goldfrapp being in the studio with her for that record. There were also the iamamiwhoami videos surfacing at the time, which were rumored to be linked to Aguilera. This all made me really curious about Bionic - until the actual record came out :huntyga: There's still an M.I.A.-penned song that's somewhat interesting and delivering on initial promises, but that's about it.

I won't lie, I felt that way too hearing MAYHEM for the first time. I grew to really love the album, but it took a minute to digest the more funk-leaning tracks in particular.

On the other hand, I couldn't disagree more: in recent memory, CONFESSIONS II is truly the one record that delivered on all fronts and exceeded expectations, each track hitting as early as the first listen. Let's be real, people really thought there was no way Madonna would make another great album at this point, and she proved everyone wrong. There's literally not a single mid track on this album, and I'd go as far as saying that it's superior to the first Confessions.

But I do respect your opinion and understand that's what this thread was asking about.

Likewise, I respect your right to be wrong
