Spotify to Start Labeling & Not Playlisting AI Artists

Spotify has announced a new feature intended to label AI artist profiles on the platform. The tool will begin to roll out in mid-September, Spotify said on Tuesday, working as a badge that will appear on the mobile app on artist profiles, as well as in search and on track rows on playlists.

I don’t think it’ll affect their streams labelling it because i know so many people irl that are playing AI songs and to the point I hear AI songs playing in stores now. Probably how they avoid copyright.

Playlists though will MASSIVELY affect them thank god. Because recently I switched to Apple Music because the amount of AI songs that came on shuffle in the last few months is abysmal.

The slop should be outright banned, tbf, but this is a decent half-measure

They should ban it from streaming platforms honestly. It annoys me so much when I go to YouTube music's new music page and there's a ton of AI music for no ****ing reason.
