I really don’t think that’s the case.

Sis. No one is listening to that album. The streams are crashing hard day after day. It received only 3,7M streams yesterday. DWAS alone was outstreaming it for most of its run.

She did not have a comeback. She did not capture the GP's attention. All she did was please pop music stans, which is good for her, but it's very telling that a lot of people can only appreciate the "greatness" of her work in relation to Gaga.

Just curious, why you feel this need to go reading the numbers and have this strong reaction regarding this album?

What you said was factually incorrect so I corrected you. :)

I don't know if you guys have noticed this too, or maybe I'm just going crazy lmao, but this post ended up being a discussion about the quality (or lack thereof) of Chromatica... which once again adds to the narrative I'm trying to highlight in the opening post

probably because your OP is partly about people dragging Chromatica

the general consensus here is that Chromatica is her weakest album, way before CII was even announced

one of her albums has to be her weakest

mother, what must i do?

the noise is just some pick me gays on stan twt using the new album of the month to drag any artist, nothing new to see here tbh. when olivia’s album came out last month the same tired comparisons to her peers happened

God you people need to grow up. Stuff like this is so embarrasing to read. Please find something productive to do with your time.

I can't deny as a Monster, that I listened to Confessions II and come to compare it with a project of my fav artist in a similar genre. Chromatica is a solid album that has incluences of House, Ballroom & Dance. Confessions II is an amazing and in comparisson better album, that has similar influences.

But you know what? That's totally fair. Madonna's last 3 albums (Madame flop, rebel fart, MDNEY) ate a*ss so bad, they are nowhere close to Gaga's recent releases. Let's give Madonna credit where credit is due, she and stuart price made a great album in this dance genre, the gays love it, and it might get her 1x grammy after all...

Instead of seeing it as backlash and tearing Gaga down, it'st just showing how Gaga's artistry is hold to high standards, and that it is really surprising that madonna reacehd this level of artistry in her 50+ carrer.

Telling people what to do with their time sure is productive. You are wasting your time on here too.

At the end of the day this album will peak at #1 because of the fanbase then it will disappear without a trace. In 4 weeks, no one but her most dedicated stans are going to think about it. But they already think about her, that is why they are fans. No song is going viral. Nothing is becoming a random breakout hit. Accept that.

Like virtually every album by every artist these days.

That's what the modern music industry looks like.
Fans play albums.
GP plays industry currated playlists.

None of the people you've argued with on this thread have said this.

And in terms of virality - arguably it no longer exists in the way it once did and has less baring on artist/song success.

Love that this person didn't reply back.

It is weird that there are still fans so set on numbers and charts. I mean both Gaga and Madonna have had a huge  impact on music, Fashion, Videos, well you name it.

It's such a different world out there in a twitter. I remember joining only a few years back and really noticed that much hate (ragebait or not) for Gaga there. I admit to engaging with some of these sometimes to defend but in all reality it's just a bubble there. Outside of that, twitter is nothing really.

And so what? It’s gaga daily, and Chroma’s quality is literally part of the original post

Actually, if you grew up (or were smart, in this case) you’d see it proves we don’t gaf about stan wars
