Madame X debuted with 95K (90K in pure sales). So it's an improvement

everyone say thank you record collectors!

We can say that MAYHEM has 14 variants and Bruno Mars then  this will become the normal because of Taylor Swift unfortunately

Honestly, it's not because of Taylor Swift. She just westernised what had already been common place in the asian music markets since the 00s.

It is. It's a decently healthy increase from Madame X (the increase in streaming units for this will be more notable than the increase in physical units if I had to guess given MX was already led by physical units).

Contextually as well, this is her fifteenth album 44 years into her career. To pull over 100k at that stage is an impressive figure and was something that many thought was completely behind her. This album already has secured the 2nd biggest streaming debut for an album from a female artist who debuted pre-2000 (second only to Sharkia's last album) and if this figure holds, it'll be one of the largest debut weeks for a pre-2000 female artist this decade.

Like the other user said above, this is not a concept Taylor invented by any means. Vinyl variants have been around for years, it's just that vinyl is actually desired now where it wasn't for years in the US. But the multiple formats and glut of variants concept is pulled straight from overseas, KPOP in particular.
