But does anyone really even *own* food? I mean, our bodies only lease it for as long as it’s needed to extract nutrients from it, so when it passes through the colon and into a pit of raw sewage, can we really say we ever *owned* it? Is it not just, at that point, a figment of our imaginations and, by extension, could we say that, in a world of material liminality, it perhaps never even existed as a stable object if it’s only function is the pursuit of its own annihilation?
