I still don't know what ranch is supposed to be. In Germany we're not really that big on bottled sauces, except ketchup and Maggie, maybe hollandaise during stinky piss season in summer.

Yeah so for example at McDonald's our sauces are ketchup, BBQ, sweet curry and sweet and sour. At BK it's mayo, spicy mayo, BBQ, sweet chilli. We just don't get it here

It's basically a salad dressing or raw vegetable dip depending how thick it's made, but also used for chicken wing/nuggets dip. It's used for a lot of other food too but those are the basic most common ones

It is viral. The US was just flooded with tourists who were shocked at how different things are here. Not only from their own home but from their assumptions.

"Europeans are shocked at how varied American food is, how friendly people are, and how wild the climate is" isn't propaganda.

Yeah it’s basically extra vinegary mayonnaise but some brands do add herbs sometimes so I think there’s some brands that are close.

The US is so broad and vast, significantly more varied and expansive than Europe in its entirety, not only because of all the cultures that have taken root but because they all mingled in the "new world" over the last few centuries creating new amalgamations and subcultures.

It's a beautiful place with a ton of great people and unique experiences, even from state to state.

Going up north and trying ketchup chips or real NYC pizza blew my mind. I can't imagine having bbq for the first time or seeing the inside of a Walmart when you're not used to one-stop-shops like that.

And the way the American people have been responding is beautiful. Kansas locals throwing a huge street party to welcome the Algerian team, Scottish fans flooding Boston (and draining it of all its booze while partying together AND CLEANING UP AFTER THEMSELVES), and all the adorable videos of foreigners having "my last Waffle House experience before I go home :(" or this legitimate ploy for people to try and smuggle ranch dressing.

Idk, that's the America I know and the 20% of morons that elected Trump don't ruin that for me.

Despite being depressed af I'm not miserable enough to believe shared human experiences and cultures clashing in friendly ways are an orchestrated effort to clean up the American government's global image  

Btw, you can't take liquids through TSA but you CAN freeze ranch or really anything else and that's allowed through TSA
