Not the biggest Ariana fan but Eternal Sunshine is for sure her best album in my opinion. I don’t think I’ve listened to anything other than the singles from Thank U Next, Sweetener and Dangerous Woman in the last 5 years. Positions had a couple of ok songs that were ok but what a bad album that is.

It does feel more performative because vinyl gets all the hype these days, but it's honestly the same as a CD, pokemon card, barbie doll etc. collection. Every collection is wasteful.

The variant thing has gotten out of hand though, before the big vinyl boom it took years to build an impressive vinyl collection, especially different versions of the same album. Now you can order 6 colors at the same time and it makes it less special.

because they look nice? I buy gaga's picture discs to put them on display because it's what they exist for, some of them being quite rare now

and I like the Bad World versions for the same reason, cool vinyls to put on display that are full of liquid, why would i keep that hidden on a shelf?
