Gaga Named Her Daughter After “I Was Born This Way” singer Carl Bean

The source that told TMZ told them that Rose’s middle name “Bean” is actually referencing the 70s gay singer Carl Bean who Gaga references on her 2011 song Born This Way.  🥹

 

I kinda was wondering what it was referencing myself and then it clicked. So her first child’s name is a wink at Born This Way.

 

You can never make me dislike this woman. That is the most simple, sweetest, thoughtful, meaningful without-trying-too-hard name ever. It’s perfect. 
 

I wonder if that girl will even fully understand the weight of what her name means to so many people and so many young gay and trans kids across the world. 
 

She is gonna be just as nice as her momma, though. I just know it.

That’s very interesting, I wonder what Gaga is going to say. Love her so much, I always thought that whenever she decided to start a family we’d find out about the pregnancy, talk about it for months etc. but it’s such a Gaga thing to just walk around with the baby for the world to find out. 

It’s also funny how we’ve never gotten a surprise album release but this baby surprise is so amazing.

I can believe this - Rose is such a classic and traditional name, there must be a reason for Bean. Either this theory, or maybe that’s what they referred to her as when she was in utero and it stuck. Either way it’s super cute
