For me its the inconsistency of the font use and overall visual identiy from the Mayhem album, to the festival/stadium shows and to the actual tour  also why the hell she used those Grammy images for the tour promo when she had that amazing Mother Mayhem look poster for the stadium shows.. not to mention them communication of "I didn't plan to tour this year" Schick

But overall I'd say from the Abra release on it was her best era since the BTW era.

But compare what Gaga can do with tour visuals for album tracks vs those same people. 

It's a trade off. They put more into producing videos (because they need to generate buzz to push sales as they have a smaller core) but aren't able to deliver to the same extent via touring currently. Where as Gaga is able to deliver video level concepts for tour performances alongside bonus content like Requiem.

When I see the red dress I see it as almost like avante garde armor, and the opera house like an artistic prison -

I feel like when they fuse together during bad romance, no longer are the dress or opera house needed, hence the fire. Gaga is stronger than ever in self-acceptance of being mother monster and sets herself free.

If you listen to just the instrumentals they all feel very heavy, but also melancholy, even the disco/funk tracks. Very layered
