What would a Gaga Biopic look like?

With all the success of the Michael Biopic I can't help but wonder what a Gaga one would be like.

What are some key events you think should be portrayed? What Events should be left out?

I feel like the biggest focus would have to be on the breaking of the hip and its long term effects being felt until today and what kind of impact that had for everything Gaga went through up until the Psychosis.

One thing that I thought of for the opening sequence: Someone with long nails and hooker heels playing the piano, the camera pans around that person, though you do not see her face. Then the camera pans up - it's the stripper that showed Gaga how to play piano and you just see a young Stefani looking in awe at the Lady playing the Piano.

I guess it'd talk about her years being bullied and struggling to debut, her massive commercial success during TF/M, then about her acceptance message and activism during the BTW era, ARTPOP being her first flop era and how it affected her, her career and image (Jazz + Hollywood + Joanne eras), then the massive success of ASIB.

After that I don't think there is anything interesting enough to talk about in a movie.

I’d like to see her childhood, learning to play the piano and discovering her voice. Meeting Lady Starlight and creating Lady Gaga.

I'd want a movie from birth to now and it's the same 50 year old actress playing all ages like the awful french legally distinct Céline biopic "Aline"

If it’s something in the next 5 years i’d love something a bit more creative with a message….  ie in the film Gaga is hardly ever directly seen, and the story focusses on little monster life perspectives…. Spanning 2008-2025…. Maybe a tragic long distance, love story between two little monsters…… one navigating self acceptance, gender identity and family challenges, who attends Gaga concerts in secret, the other navigating grief, substance abuse…….  Her music reimagined as epic, electronic instrumentals, and not necessarily used chronologically, but more with what fits the story……… could be called ‘Dance in the dark’ … maybe in the end they end up with separate partners and lives and don’t see each other for ages, and then one day by chance, they each spot eachother on the balcony’s of New York apartments, first with shocked and wary faces, then they each flashback to their little monster days, and their faces slowly soften, and one of them does the monster paw, signalling that he’s finally found self acceptance in himself, and the other beams with joy, whilst tears fall from their eyes… cue credits with epic electronic version of speechless  ..

If it’s something coming in 15 more years, when Gaga is age 55, then yes - I then it’s time for story to be told in more classic biopic way.

This is something I sometimes think about as someone with a love-hate relationship with biopics. Honestly, Gaga's story could be a whole trilogy of films, a multiseason TV series, or a multi-act musical. I could write an entire outline, but it would be LONG!

But I would say my big want from a Gaga biopic is that it's in the vein of Rocketman, Elvis, or Better Man. It's brutally honest about the complexities of both musicianship and fame, a jukebox musical and/or it really highlights the music and artistry, and it is stylized. I want someone with a creative vision and who respects Gaga's artistry. The last thing I'd want is a sanitized and boring exploration of Gaga's career (like Bohemian Rhapsody, Springsteen: Deliver Me from Nowhere, or Back to Black).

I'd also be interested in the idea of a Gaga biopic(s) that would cover just one section of her career. Those can be hit or miss, but some parts of Gaga's career are so layered and intriguing that they can't just be squeezed into a two-hour movie.

But in the end, I'd just really love to see Gaga's story and journey to be given proper treatment. I'd also hope that she would be happy with the final product.
