I truly don't get the SOAW hate/dislike/disinterest/whatever you wanna call it. It isn't the most groundbreaking track, but it's fun and I think it fits in perfectly with the disco-y side of MAYHEM. I could easily see this alongside KFL and SOAM. The post-chorus is also very catchy. Glamorous Life is the ONE though. Despite my love for MAYHEM, I think most of the songs' lyrics are not that great. There are a few gems, but it doesn't stack up to some of her earlier work. I don't think GL is quite at that level, but it has considerably better lyrics than like half of MAYHEM. Sonically, it's an incredible ballad too. Idc what people say, I hope Gaga does a full ballad album someday. I think her best work is with these types of songs where she's able to really let her vocals go. Finally a ballad where she doesnt abuse her vocals, and the Fame-y vocal hald spoken bits?! Slay mama, so goooood! Shape of a woman is a really cute bop, the vocal runs are divine and works for the scenes where it appears i think. Also real question, what do y'all who dont like the new songs want or expect from Gaga? These songs are miles better from what shes done for Joanne + Chromatica, both boring and lifeless albums where only fan albums make most of the songs enjoyable.. so I don't understand the negativity from a lot of the Mayhem songs, TDD, and now TDWP songs. 2 2 1 Quote Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
