Honestly? I vibe with it. Not sure if the talking was the best choice, but still, it's the kind of song you listen to with your eyes closed and travel somewhere else. I hope it's the first track on the album, it's a nice album opener.

Its an odd choice as a lead single but its a good opener (which I think is confirmed) and has a lush house vibe

Ngl the talking is the best part. The hook is a little too on the nose disco revival (I Feel Love/Free/Future Lovers), so at least the spoken word brings something slightly different to the table.

She need to pivot quickly, and put out something in the veins of the OG sonically, if after a week this goes nowhere.

I could see her going long player version for this album from the get go, like the rereleased Confessions album. So starting with the album opener makes sense, since every other song has the transition in the beginning. Also might be a stretch, but I think it would be a fun thing to do 🤗
