BrandyFinest 833
This is what Paramount execs deserve for catering to MAGA. However, I do feel bad for the animators and crew, they worked so hard on this movie just for it to be released in this manner:/ Hey ariana, what's michael jackson? https://youtu.be/xF-XLOYVrUw?si=lo38SO3-tH3L35uG

REALITY 80,162
I feel awful for the artists and everyone who worked on the film. First, Paramount decided not to put it in theatres, and now it's leaked months in advance and anticlimatically being shared on Twitter... On the bright side, the film looks great (from the few stills I've seen), and they're all so f*cking hot 𝔗𝔥𝔢 𝔪𝔬𝔫𝔰𝔱𝔢𝔯 𝔱𝔬𝔯𝔢 𝔞𝔴𝔞𝔶 𝔦𝔱𝔰 𝔪𝔞𝔰𝔨 𝔞𝔫𝔡...𝔦𝔱𝔰 𝔣𝔞𝔠𝔢 𝔴𝔞𝔰 𝔪𝔦𝔫𝔢.

Fatigay 21,211
Watched parts of it for like 20 min The story feels lazy and formulaic. Spoiler New character is greeted with open arms and excitement, mentions a powerful tool to help, uses the main character to seek it, then betrays him when he reaches it only to finally be stopped at the last minute by the hero. It feels weird to have a story that happens between two series, because none of this is ever referenced in Korra. There's a massive lost city that was moved to the spirit world by an extraordinarily strong avatar, and... Nothing. It's like watching a movie that happens between WWI and today, and no one in the "today" makes any reference to WWII. There are also LOTS of exposition (especially in narrated flash-backs), and cheap and unearned references to the original series (the "Secret Tunnel" singers, cabbage man, foamy-mouth man). I've read that the leak wasn't the actual final result, but I think that was just PR to not admit that yes it is. I feel bad for the animators, sure, but I'm glad I won't have to give money to Paramount+ in the Fall to watch that. I've seen enough. This is how I would describe it Edited April 15 by Fatigay

This is how I would describe it yeah i had similar thoughts like a lot of what happened in the film could have helped out Korra in the series but in my mind, im choosing to believe the Gaang never brought these events up to Korra because they themselves were too scared to share the knowledge of spirit energy because of how devastating it could be (provenly so by the events in the film + show)
