Leaking 6 months before release is catastrophic. As a super fan I’m conflicted between waiting it out and or watching now to avoid spoilers. If it turns out to be a box office failure, people will be laid off, especially since they're already being laid off left and right due to the economic downturn. Film production (and any job for that matter) is never truly secure just because it's already been paid for, there are many other variables at play. Even if it didn’t/doesn’t impact them financially, this would be a pretty insane take IMO. Most people should be able to empathize with the idea of working hard on something and looking forward to showing it to others when it’s ready. To have that ripped away from you - especially on this scale - would be devastating. But like Jill mentioned, there are financial impacts. In addition to what was mentioned, their compensation might include royalties or other components reliant on viewership, which is now going to plummet.
