Did she lie ?:iamfair:

The fact that she's the biggest beyhive and still said the truth.

She's too real

Lies.  Amerie was actually reheating Yonce’s nachos.  1 thing (2005) sounds just like Crazy in Love (2003)

I thought the title said "Beyonce was in America's nachos" and was so confused! Still think it looks like that! :billie:

But that doesn’t make sense since bey was making music like that before 1 Thing with her debut album…people say this but the timelines don’t match up

Well Zara is kinda right but things are more complex, and it’s not worth beefing with messy fandoms

The ones who say Beyoncé was first in 2003 with crazy in love are WRONG Amerie’s debut album came out in 2002 and she was already working with Rich Harrison on that Go-go sound

but credit to Rich who gave the timeless hit to Beyoncé cause CIL is perfection of the Go-go sound

Then Amerie came with one thing and her album touch in 2005 with many go-go bops honestly

then Beyoncé did B’day in 2006 with many songs with that Rich Harrison sound again

then Amerie ditched Rich and still did an album full of go-go fire bops on Because I love it in 2007 but she was sabotaged by her label Columbia records :triggered: suspicious

and then simply everybody moved on from the sound with In Love and war in 2009 Amerie went a little more electronic but she didn’t have much success after :messga: I’m sad cause she could have developed a much wider artistry but nowadays the only times they ask her to perform is for nostalgia for One thing

I feel like it’s just like…sounds percolating in the air. Bc a lot of B Day was also influenced by Jay’s stuff and Kanye was doing some retro stuff, too. I just feel like it can be a thing of who came first but the reality is everyone just inspiring everyone imo
