She had a rough time working in Roanoke and didn’t come back for the second half of the season because they screwed her around whilst she was making Joanne and stuff. She hasn’t really worked with or mentioned Ryan or his team since either so I imagine there’s a reason behind it. It’s half half though, Jessica was getting interviewed about Gaga back during Hotel’s airing and basically gave disparaging looks when asked about her as an actress, she also didn’t come back till Gaga was gone despite the fact Gaga shouldve been in Apocalypse since her hotel was connected to it storyline wise. All she had to do was even just say “oh yeah she’s great” and move on but she couldn’t even bring herself to say that lol the rumours also are The Countess was supposed to be Jessica’s role and Gaga’s was minor, but Ryan was having preferential treatment before they started shooting and Jessica walked (although in the AHS fandom they claim Jessica had actually filmed some initial scenes as The Countess before Gaga got the role) And considering Gaga’s reaction in FiveFootTwo and the fact she doesn’t say anything about it even when talking about her acting career feels kinda obvious though. Id say you just have to read between the lines and you can sort of tell. Because there’s NO WAY when Gaga’s popularity got big again in 2018 that Ryan didnt ask her to work with him again.
