The credits for both songs have been updated; DWAS now credits Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo (of Daft Punk) and Vincent Belorgy (Kavinsky) as songwriters. Killah now credits Trent Reznor (of Nine Inch Nails) as a songwriter.

Gaga has always been the first to overly give credit when appropriate credit is due. Not crediting all 3 on Requiem? I smell a stunt. :ally:

Glad they did the right thing, crazy it wasn't done from the start.

The melody that you choose can rescue you ♥

im confused, why are they credited? esp daft punk?

Because they are iconic :whitney:

(and because she sampled them in those performances)

If you see me posting like crazy, I'm either bored or procrastinating.

I understand Killah giving a sample credit because they outrightly sampled the drums from Closer but the rest is just utter crap to keep the peace

i mean it was obvious it was a sample so she done the right thing eventually, i don't think there was ever malice intended on anyones part from the start. hopefully this is put to rest now

I doubt its a stunt.

This is the first time she's worked with someone other than her own team/label for a release - probably just Apple using AI to compile the data and naturally did it wrong

I honestly even think Killah is a stretch, given that the drum loop in Closer is sampled, but if this sates the dolls, then whatever ig lmao.

Guy is the producer of the Kavinsky song Nightcall.

Guy-Manuel Cristo from Daft Punk produced Nightcall with Kavinsky (a song I still believr is neither sampled nor interpolated in DWAS on REQUIEM, but that’s neither here nor there)

There isn’t a Daft Punk sample. Guy is the producer of the song Nightcall by Kavinsky. People, including members here on GGD who went to the original Requiem show claimed DWAS sampled Nightcall. It does not actually sample it, but the optics are that it was sampled; and you know what they say perception is reality. They credited them to avoid further drama.
