Incredible how you talk about a strawman argument considering that’s what you’ve been making. I’m drawing similarities between the attacks made on Britney and Addison, their artistry and Addison’s performances, and suddenly I’m lowering the bar because of my own feelings so that she can step over it and saying that she’s Britney reborn or she’s a Pop icon diva legend queen. My comment was going off of what people said in the post that reminded me of what people said about Britney, and Addison’s relationship with Britney’s artistry which made me post that comment which I meticulously explained but somehow you still missed the mark so here we are. A strawman’s key features are literally distortion, exaggeration and making it easier to attack. Guess which ones you’ve successfully landed on

I love how you talk about shell games and shifting goalposts while you’re still talking about the quality of Addison’s performance when I said multiple times that was not what my point was at that point at all and provided the receipts where I’m saying that.

I also love that you think *I’m* arguing when I just lightly ribbed you on softening your position about her as a performer and then you bristled, got defensive, doubled down, condescended etc. It was a nothing comment (which I still maintain is accurate) and you started ranting about narrow arguments that I never made about Addison because you seem to insist on talking past people on here lol

@xxxdreamsGenuine question: when you made a vague comment about Addison’s detractors being people who would’ve hated Britney, do you think it’s more reasonable to expect that: A.) Detractors would interpret the comparison as an individual and respond on that basis (given that they’re the ones whose opinions you’re trying to characterize) or B.) Ask you how you interpret the similarities between the two?

I’ll give you a hint: the answer isn’t B.
