Shakira to perform 3-night residency in Madrid at stadium built for the event

Shakira said in an  interview with the RTVE show Al Cielo Con Ella that the final leg of the tour will take place in Spain with a setup designed specifically for the event: “I’m going to go all out because Live Nation is preparing a stadium for these concerts. It will be called Estadio Shakira,” the artist revealed. “It’s going to be something out of this world, a production that I don’t think has been seen before in Spain.”

However, Madrid’s city council stated that they have no information about the construction of Shakira’s stadium. “We have no confirmation, news, or official information, but I know that in the coming days, possibly this week, you will receive official updates from the organisers,” said Borja Caraban. x x

The Colombian superstar announced a three-night residency in Madrid, Spain, at a stadium exclusively built for the event.

The venue dubbed as Shakira Stadium will host the Grammy-winning artist Sept. 25-27, marking the singer-songwriter’s first performance in the country since 2018’s “El Dorado World Tour.”

The show is produced by Live Nation Spain, and the large-scale temporary venue integrated into Iberdrola Music, a site capable of hosting music festivals, will host more than 50,000 fans each night. The venue is designed by Bjarke Ingels Group and will feature full visibility, stellar acoustics and premium fan experiences, similar to what Adele accomplished in Munich two years ago.

Not in this case. All the seating is mobile, those grandstandsbare just scaffolding structures, that can be taken down easily. The stage is as always mobile, maybe it will have larger screens for this.

They just need a big, flat surface. For Adele in Munich and her Adele Arena they used a fair ground space, put on some asphalt and built the scaffolding structures for the grandstands and the stage. Everything was taken down in like two weeks. Even the asphalt was recycled.

There are similar structures for Rogers Stadium in Toronto or Vive Claro in Bogota. Those are specifically for concerts, but don't take years and concrete to build. It's just like a permanent festival setup.

Those "stadiums" can be put up everywhere as they are, you can even "tour" with this stadium. Otherwise the equipment is used elsewhere
