Doubtful. 

Talarico has spent years rallying against Christian nationalism. Its what built him a public profile. 

He's attempted to legalise cannabis in Texas. And opposed attempts by Republicans in Texas to attack the hemp industry.

He's pro-LGBTQ. He supports gender affirming care. And has said he believes God is non-binary.

He's pro-filibuster reform, pro-congressional term limits and anti-gerrymandering. He wants to ban congressional politicians from trading stocks. He also wants Supreme Court reform.

He wants medicare for all (dubbed medicare for y'all in his promo) and believes healthcare is a universal human right. He helped cap insulin costs in the state. 

He's anti-AIPAC and criticised the federal Democrats & Kamala for backing Israel in the 2024 presidential election.

 

Like the only difference between him and Crockett is that Crockett disliked being labelled progressive and is pro-Israel.

The propaganda machine has pivoted to attacking him now, it’s wild to see how effective it is. I’ve been following this man for many years and everything @Broncosaid is true.
 

I find Talarico’s perspective compelling and I am not afraid of him being religious. Progressive religious people have led and contributed to a lot of civil rights progress in the US over the decades including racial equity, reproductive rights, and LGBTQ support. Not to mention all the clergy who got arrested protesting ICE in MN. And mostly it’s coalitions from different faiths coming together to act around shared progressive values. I’m not Christian but I welcome a different voice offering a constructive vision of what we can be. Much like I’m not Muslim but I am cool with Mandani’s faith informing how he leads. We all want the same outcomes.

It also annoys me that so many from outside of Texas have weighed in on this race with no real understanding, no matter who they’re attacking. (Jasmine got it too like from the Culturistas.) Especially with talking points from bots lol.

plenty of them have had nice records like James and then turn around and fukc us all to hell

so for me he's on thin ice for the rest of his life

But he is an anti-genocide candidate and his opposition was a pro-genocide candidate. You can dress her up as a civil rights attorney but she's a civil rights attorney that actively funded the wanton slaughter of children. 

So the best candidate won.

This all just reminds me that this country loves black and brown people's labor but never their authority 

but only time will tell if hes a DINO or not and i will be there to be smug about it when im right

There's nothing progressive about Jasmine's support for Israel. 

Its funny how you're attacking Crockett for hypotheticals but have zero issue with Crockett who has openly said she dislikes being called progressive and has repeatedly backed genocide. 

You talk about the US loving brown labour but not their authority yet have zero issue supporting a candidate who's backed the genocide of brown people. 

Its crazy you think someone who actively ran on a left wing anti-MAGA anti-Israeli war platform is the "politics as normal candidate".

Crockett really strikes me as more of a DINO (almost kind of a Ritchie Torres type) whose only claim to fame is creating viral social media moments and doesn’t really have much to her name either than that. She’s perfectly fine, but the fact that you’re fabricating a legacy for her being some kind of progressive champion and positioning him as a white devil/DL MAGA in spite of him being far more vocally and functionally progressive and efficient just doesn’t really sit right with me lol
