She probably wanted the footage to be as good as possible and not a rehearsal. And I don't think this means anything in the grand scheme of things. they shouldve hired a seasoned director to manage these stuff our queen must be tired but hey at least she's happy doing what she's doing

Gaga Scholar 171
I can see how this is super frustrating, disappointing, etc. I can also see why Gaga wants to give fans the best tour film she's ever had with beautiful shots/cinematography. So many concerts since the Monster Ball have been cancelled, so many countries skipped on tours, so few tour films released. With that said, I don't think people would be so mad if not for the outrageous concert ticket prices across the board, which is totally due to big corporation shadiness. "You get what you pay for," but when we're already overpaying, the frustration compounds when things don't go exactly right or as expected. It's a perceived value discrepancy. It would be so nice if tickets were affordable enough for most people across the spectrum, from nosebleeds to front row, to attend more than one show on the same tour. The likelihood that a view is obstructed in the same way twice is low. In any case, for those who are mad, I hear you and sympathize. If it's any consolation, maybe try to think of it as a "redistribution" of "wealth," both literally and figuratively. You suffered a little bit so that someone else who can't afford to attend at all can get a good view later, a view that you'll also be able to enjoy. It's a little charity that you got to do, against your will, but charity nonetheless. "The truth is..." --L. Gaga, 1986-present
lance13 1,203
After watching the video, I would have been SO upset. I don't think people are wanting more than what they paid for, but the same experience everyone else had. I like to take pics and videos and if I had been blocked, I would have been heartbroken. LGAte 348
Honestly I was waiting for this because I would have been salty too. I get it that they want to have a legit feel for the concert film…. but maybe do a specific “recording” show. If anything they might make more money because monsters will want to be in the special. And if they knew going into it that it would be recorded they might go harder with the costumes. idk….i always thought it was weird they surprise the audience with that. I finally got to see Gaga for the first for real this year and if I had spent over a decade and a half waiting to finally see my queen and that was my experience…especially when it hit my bank account that hard… careless imho. Who the **** is on these pop star’s PR team? Don’t they know this is a giant ungrateful **** you to audiences? love you Gaga but you should at least give people a heads up.

This could have been easily avoided. This is why Katy had a free audience for the filming of PLAY, especially in a theater there’s no way to film without obstructing views. But fr tho i wonder who's the person that allowed this to happen. Every decision from her team has been a big hit or miss and tons of last minute decisions. Very exhausting. Honestly? The film is going to be shelved for sure, just like Harlequin one night only... The melody that you choose can rescue you ♥
RichAssPiss 5,013
The footagw from on stage cameras should obviously have been taken at another time, likely an additional run through or dress performance so they can get their angles without obstructing an audience. SEANGT 5,581
I really just don't see what expensive tickets have to do with anything to be honest. This is a risk you take when you buy a ticket to a live event. You might not have the best view 100% of the time. Grow the **** up.

MountainMonster 1,439
I was there for LA night 2… and I mentioned this that very night in the thread about these LA shows. It honestly was a much worse experience than it was when I saw the show in Seattle. It was clunky and slow, and when things were shown on the screen… it wasn’t always what you wanted to see; it just depended upon what they were trying to shoot each night for each song. Some interludes never happened, some turned into multi-minute gaps where the band just kept riffing for uncomfortable amounts of time. And also, the magic of her performing for the audience changed into her performing for the camera. She had virtually no interaction with the audience. Even making the VIY lap was sort of just blah. Plus, the stopping to fix her hair thing happening twice was annoying enough, but what she really should have done was redone her pitchy take on Perfect Celebrity instead. again, people can say “you get what you pay for” or that it’s a live show or whatever you want - but the reality is that it was a noticeably worse experience than the shows where it wasn’t being filmed. 2 1
