I mean, she is aiming for big arenas and that's not realistic, honey :ororomunroe:

She said it's health issues, but LBR, anyone who sees those cancelled venues understood what's the real reason is :ororomunroe: The "protect my health" was other words for "these unsold venues really got me stressing!" frfr :ororomunroe:

What were the ticket sales like?
Because it's only 23 dates and while I can understand health as a reason for cancelling Vegas & Denver which are both mid tour, she's also cancelled Charlotte, Orlando and Atlanta which were the first 3 dates and each had a rest day in between.

I looked up the sales from the start because I was curious how her tickets would sell and well... if you look at her last tour, I don't know what gave them the idea to go for arenas.

They started with scaled down arenas in most of the cities (like Charlotte, Nashville, ...) and some places sold like 30 % during the first days of sale. Some places like NYC or LA are selling better, they opened the upper tier in Orlando but scaled down in Minneapolis if I remember correctly. Overall there are still a lot of blue dots for available seats on ticketmaster. I doubt they will make a profit out of this. 18 dates for the remaining tour aren't many to begin with, some arenas are scaled down and thousands of tickets are still unsold.

She did an arena tour for Tell Me You Love Me which was kind of her peak and still then some shows were sold out when others had 2000 unsold tickets. She also toured Europe, which I doubt this time, looking at the commercial performance of her album outside the USA.

At this point I'm waiting for Meghan Trainor to cancel some shows or the whole tour, since hers looks even worse than Demi's. If Madison Square Garden has several sections with only a hand ful tickets sold, one shouldn't headline an arena tour.

Seeing how often were pushed to the brink at work for the sake of money and it backfires when everyonr gets stick and burnt out...

Im convinced labels are the ones pushing artists to tour to their absolute limit and when some cant handle it, it backfires and they have to cancel portions of it :toofunny:

sour candy MV soon

How incredibly shitty of her team.

I was thinking of getting tickets if she announced a UK leg. That’s not going to happen now.

Cancelling/postponing the first three dates means she really does need more time to rehearse and get ready.

But what about the Vegas and Denver dates in the middle of the tour?

She had issues selling out auditoriums last tour I'm not sure what her team thought had changed. Did they think they had a Brat?

And her last album still sold better and was talked about much more.

This album barely reached to Top 10 in the USA, although it's a very good album.

Remember, when Gaga had ARTPOP at No. 1 and her arena tour didn't sell as fast as expected? Today artists don't even reach the Top Ten and want to sell out arenas. I wonder where they think the people will come from...

I think a lot of teams such as Demi’s have assumed that the super high concert demand that has happened since the end of the pandemic would extend to them.

Lady Gaga doesn't owe us anything

i feel so bad for her i can only imagine how hard touring rly is it’s why mariah carey was so against it for so long it rly takes a toll as fun as it is it’s a rigorous schedule for a long while so it’s good she is protecting herself

it’s sad for all the peeps that already bought tickets and wanted to see her show but it’s good that artists that putting themselves first and foremost
