Apparently popular in China, to the point people exercising with his music from Grammy winning album. Surprised?

I mean hes moderately popular in Canada too and everyone knows who he is. So definitely not exclusively local

Edit: My cousin in Portugal posted an instagram story with one of his songs in the background if u need additional evidence :enigma:

His album also went 1 in the Netherlands, but his music is barely played or streamed. Most people here dont know his songs. Same with Kendrick

The moment Bad Bunny gained recognition outside of Puerto Rico he was no longer local.

Bad Bunny has been extremely popular all over Latin America and the United States for years.

Most of those claiming Bad Bunny is local are people who’ve never met a Latino/Hispanic person in their lives or those who belittle anything that doesn’t directly come from English speaking white Americans or Europeans.

It has nothing to do with belittling everyone who is nog a English speaking American or European. What I am trying to say is based on how much I hear about him here in the Netherlands, he is very small. Same as Kendrick. They have just a few top 40 hits, often with low peaks. So that gives me the feeling he is not as big in Europe. Maybe the Netherlands is an exception, and he will have a fanbase her. But they are not omnipresent like Gaga, Taylor, Beyonce, hell even Sabrina, Chappel, and some of this years BNA artists had bigger hits here

To be fair, I wasn’t directing my post at you, however, Bad Bunny is bringing his tour to Europe this summer and he’s extremely popular in Spain as far as I’m aware.

I wouldn’t expect a Puerto Rican artist who makes music in Spanish to be popular all across Europe but he’s certainly known in various countries (probably mainly the ones he’s touring in)

My main point being, even if he wasn’t big anywhere in Europe, he wouldn’t be local. He’s been big in the entire American continent already.

Actually yeah like REALLY popular, and most importantly any demographic listens to him. He's everywhere and he has been since the very beginning of his career. He's huge here
