She said something about it at yesterday’s show and expressed she is very upset about it, so she obviously doesn’t agree with what’s happening. Who’s to say she won’t say something on the red carpet for the Grammys?

Obviously she doesn't agree with ICE (or anything the alt-right is doing in America right now) but she's clearly too apathetic to do anything meaningful.

Even something as simple as what Katy's done is useful.

The Grammys red carpet is on the 1st Feb. 

The current best thing we can mobilise for to fight ICE is to back the Democrats push to remove DHS funding from the current appropriations bill, that needs to happen by January 30th to avoid a government shutdown. 

Maybe she is waiting for the Grammys. 
But if she is, she'll be late to the party.

With all the pressure from Billie and now even Katy, I'm expecting Gaga, Taylor and the rest to follow with formulaic, post or story just to get the heat off them

Maybe even a donation just to prove they always cared and were waiting for the "right" time to speak up.

Not that I don’t want her to speak out because it’d be lovely for her to, but she’s done things to speak up even with her social media, and people have always found an issue with it. Like I vividly remember her posting something on Instagram revolving around black suffrage around 2023 and everyone dragged her for being performative or fans making a joke about her being ActivistGa. Or that time she immediately went against the backlash for being friends with Dylan Mulvaney to fend off terfs and people took issue with it. 

 

Like even if she says she stands with immigrants on the red carpet, it still wouldn’t be enough for some people. I don’t think she should stop speaking what’s on her mind at all, but it’s kind of annoying for it to actually happen and people going “But you haven’t done it like this and this”
