I'm sorry, but I'm hyped for this. We can bemoan that the franchise isn't evolving, is stuck in a rut, too reliant on nostalgia, etc., but I'll gladly sit through any Lucasfilm animated project.

I really wish the franchise can move past this 75-80 year timeline though

The games and the expanded media do a great job with exploring alternative stories. 

The reality is for an IP like star wars, is that its impossible to branch out and take the risk on a blockbuster that isnt trading in what people expect. Because if it flops, it risks sinking the entire franchise.

That's the unfortunate truth about this franchise, I fear. They had the opportunity to transcend its limitations after TLJ, but alas...oh how I wish Duel of the Fates was made instead of the Rise of Skywalker...

I think they just need to focus on smaller budget and scoped shows and movies. 

Like adapt the Death Troopers book into a small budget horror film.

Give us more shows like Rebels and Andor where the main characters aren't from the main saga films. 

They need to stop pivoting back to big blockbuster films.

Ngl Andor was lowkey one of the best Star Wars spinoffs of all time

Maul is my all time favourite Star Wars character so I'm hyped for this. Tho I gotta admit I'm growing very weary of this overused 3D animation style. I wish they'd try out something different and fresh.
