Ok just random thought but do fans and media just exaggerated story into these myths or they were actually true?

I can think of the “her pants and shoes got stolen so she performed half naked” thing, i am pretty sure that never actually happened? She just wore bodysuits and nude shoes. I think while the Monster Ball 1.0 wig was true though?

Also the “she only had a cheap wig and a dream” narrative. She did wear wigs and extensions, but they were actually decent quality and styled on purpose. It wasn’t like Party City wig like some fans said. And she definitely wasn't too broke?

1. She was on drugs during the ARTPOP era.

I keep seeing this over and over again when this is (mostly) false. The Abramovic method was an "accidental" rehab for her, which caused her to quit smoking for three months. I said "mostly" because she started smoking pot again in November, but she was able to moderate it way more than before. Yes she still drank, and yes she got drunk on stage at places like SXSW lol, but it wasn't as bad as it was before the era.

2. Lady Gagas voice was naturally deep at the beginning of her career.

This is not true and performances prove it. People look at the AOL sessions and think her voice was always like that, but it wasn't. Her vocal chords became severely damaged by that point. It could've been drugs or bad vocal technique (I personally believe the former though I can see both), but her voice was not naturally deep.

3. Joanne was a sell-out record.

This is false. It was just the timing. Lady Gaga always talked about being inspired by Bruce Springsteen and Sting, so this album made sense. On top of this, at the time she wanted to abandon the whole "Lady Gaga pop star" aesthetic due to her trauma, and this is why she made a record that (mostly) abandoned pop stylings. Yes, I am aware that Bobby Campbell said that he wanted people to focus more on her singing so he put a focus on that, but I truly think that was more related to performances as opposed to the content that was being put out. (Cheek to Cheek was a similar coincidence of timing since we know that Tony Bennett had wanted that album since 2011.) I just don't like that people say Lady Gaga made Joanne to please people because that implies she is a sell-out, which is far from the truth. Making a country inspired album as Lady Gaga of all musicians was an experimental choice too.

There are more, but these three are the biggest ones I see a lot that are also the easiest to explain lol.

During my exchange with Party, I was talking about the period when she recorded ARTPOP, so before she met Abramovic and during the recording of ARTPOP she was on drugs.

I also remember reading in an unofficial biography that Marilyn Manson told her she would need a coat hanger after he was done with her (or words to that effect)

Gaga is responsible (or at least partially?) for Target’s pivot towards inclusivity because she was going to release BTW (Special Edition) as a Target exclusive, but they wouldn’t stop supporting anti-LGBT groups, so she made the deluxe available at all retailers and dropped Target’s exclusivity.

I remember both of these and I remember being so creeped out by the second one.  Hope that wasn’t true.

The first one actually did happen she had the skirt and shoes stolen between rehearsal and the live performance. Hence why she had ballet flats on.

her wig was absolutely not cheap, she infamously had a weave not a wig for the beginning of her career with the bangs, some of it was her real hair and and some of it was a weave. She only started wearing wigs when her hair was so frazzled that’s why it was always cut short after a certain point. I do believe the blowout at TMB 1.0 was her actual hair with extensions. 
 

The story I’ve always heard was the Manchester opening of TMB 2.0 a lot of costumes and the new yellow wig she had to have remade afterwards were delayed or even stolen/lost when they were coming across to the UK and she had to use what she had (hence the use of some of the 1.0 costumes again). The blonde hard front from the first 2.0 show was bought from a Manchester hair store near Canal Street at the last minute (I’ve once spoken to the woman who says she sold her team it years ago, she’s a real hoot and a good hag scene queen- but I digress). And Freddie’s flight was delayed so Gaga had to do the wig herself lol.

Hence why from the second date everything was more put together.
