Personally I also think the bar for women of her gen has been raised higher than she’s generally capable of reaching as the gen has developed their artistry. Beyonce, Gaga—all artists who were seemingly neck and neck with her but have head and shoulders surpassed her musicality, ability and showmanship. I just doubt her energy alone could carry real sustained success but I’m willing to eat crow bc Rihanna has some amazing bops. I just don’t really see it for her atp. I use to buy her albums and listen to her songs day and night but she got lazier and lazier and the music felt more rushed and uninspired.
