DrKindnessKunt2005 6,334
I WISH! Hardstyle saved my life in 2021. It’ll be fire if a genre so maximalist became mainstream. I remember wanting a hardstyle remix of Hallelujah when I first heard the song.

Debithius 6,009
I’m not sure if you’re suggesting that hardstyle is a genre that only remixes other songs, because that isn’t true at all, and it’s no different from any other genre that incorporates remixes. Hardstyle has been a mainstream genre in Europe since the 1990s, so it hasn’t been “resurging” it has consistently been huge here. What you might really be asking is whether hardstyle could become the next big trend in the US, which is possible.

People are enjoying the heavier beats. I think it's also just a matter of the US market being very slow to adapt to more complex music as usual. Brutalismus 3000 is getting some traction over there and even German acts like Ski Aggu or Ikkimel started touring America. (Edit: neither one of the last two are considered Hardstyle, don't get me wrong 😅) Edited January 13 by bpmMonkey saving people, hunting things - the family business

They'll compromise and start releasing sad edm banger hardcore remixes. Mark my words. also, speaking of B3000 I went down a rabbit hole and rediscovered my playlist from 6 years ago 😅 saving people, hunting things - the family business
