Controversiaga 12,349
Very common in show biz & politics to have your speeches written in advanced and read it off a teleprompter Edited January 3 by Controversiaga Pronounced like “Balenciaga” . Emphasis on the “Ga”
HotLikeMexico 5,559
I dunno if this is supposed to be shady but… this is common. Artists typically do this. if you see Gaga’s Super Bowl you can see her teleprompter in some shots. Edited January 3 by HotLikeMexico

timdrake 1,291
I don't see a problem with it tbh if it's going to be a recurring part of the show. Not everyone can speak so well off the cuff like Gaga, haha
elijahfan 26,806
It really is more common than you'd think.
MACATL 1,803
I mean, put the confidence monitor on the stage in front of you. Not the back of the damn room.
Bronco 15,377
I think its one thing to have the lyrics on a visible screen as lets face it 16 to 20 songs squeezed into 2 hours while performing - you are bound to **** a lyric up. I've been at plenty of shows where it happened lol but I get why some acts dont want the **** up (especially as it can cause timing mistakes for set pieces). But to use it for audience interaction? That's a bit pathetic imo. Especially here where JLO shows she can't adlib the interaction. Its fake as ****. Cavadour 2,559
As a local entertainer and musician, I use a tablet on a small tripod just below my microphone. I can browse pages of lyrics with a BT pedal. These pages display some short technical reminders like tune, and sound fx to use at specific point in the songs. It's a help. I just consult the page in a blink at some moments as a reminder. Great also to create setlists. That tool is just simpler and easier to use than my old bulky ring-binder, when pages begin to flip and turn at the first wind gush!
