If I don't like a song/album etc why would I put time & effort into making it chart well to get more of it?

Well charting music doesn't mean you'll get the same song 2.0, but it means more funding and support from the label and other busienss opportunities. Take Kylie for example, if Padam didn't get so much fan and public support the Tenaion era would have been just the Vegas residency. But it gave her so much more.

I mean, I'm a brit - we're the only nation guaranteed a Kylie tour every era she does actually tour lol 

If anything, the Padam success made things *worse* for her fans because it retooled the era into a greatest hits era and meant we missed out on Disco & Tension 1 & 2 songs getting prime spot on tour.

As for Gaga - would TDD being successful have given us a world tour? I thought the album itself did that...

It was a backup bad version of the great song that actually made the album.

Because it was made and forced to be a tiktok trend song, she spammed day and night with tiktoks, storys.. and song itself sounds childish to me. I love it anyways, i don’t skip it, but it succeeded as it should. Having more views than John Wayne is wild to me.
