Roughhouse Dandy 12,222
Based on the iconic comic run of Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow. Supergirl (2026) is an upcoming DC Universe film directed by Craig Gillespie, starring Milly Alc*ck as Kara Zor-El, set to release on June 26, 2026, as a space adventure following Kara's journey across the galaxy with Krypto, where she encounters Ruthye Marye Knoll and embarks on a mission of revenge. thisboyisamonster 1,051
I know I shouldn't say anything if I have nothing good to say or if I am not the obvious target demo for this but who is interested in superhero stuff anymore these days? can't we move on to other types of fantasy/sci-fi stories? Literally I cannot muster an ounce of bother about how Supergirl finds meaning in saving a planet or the dog whatever this is meant to show us. Sorry I had a long day....
Head Empty 25,533
Meh. Superhero fatigue is still in full force and studios don't seem to understand that something genuinely refreshing and creative is needed revive the genre. Literally every idea in this trailer has already been done in the past few years.

I'm here for a film about a traumatized woman with superpowers written by a woman! It's a revenge story and the source material is great! Definitely a different vibe than a lot of superhero movies we've gotten lately. 18 minutes ago, Head Empty said: Superhero fatigue is still in full force and studios don't seem to understand that something genuinely refreshing and creative is needed revive the genre. I personally don't believe in superhero fatigue; I think its formula fatigue, and the run its based off is different and really interesting! The trailer doesn't even scratch the surface of what this story is. This is my Hannah Montana™️ lipgloss.

Roughhouse Dandy 12,222
Mmmmmmmkay well looks like y'all aren't feelin it. Honestly my mistake for posting something I care about here and hoping for an ounce of positivity 😂 Anyway, I'm excited to see Jason Momoa play his dream DC character and look at him in goth muscle daddy mode The Krypton scenes are gonna fascinating and heartbreaking to see and I'm sending prayers up for Krypto. Poor puppy is about to go on a big journey 🙏🏼 Edited Thursday at 06:18 PM by Roughhouse Dandy This is my Hannah Montana™️ lipgloss.
Anderson123 39,648
The movie looks fun and hopefully it does well because you never know with DC Fanboys what they'd think about a female leading this. Can't be worse than the Captain Marvel movies.

Superhero stuff, in any form, tbh, does nothing for me. Maybe I will watch the next big Avengers one and when they bring back the X-Men but I would rather spend my entertainment time (and I don't have a lot!) on good streaming shows or other interesting films.

And then we had the Vampire wave that also went away? And then we had that Superhero wave and it's been 2 decades and it just won't dieeeeee?!?!?
