Will Katy delay her album?

Clearly since bandaids did not do well- there is not much of a demand for a new Katy album rn.. right?

Whats she gonna do? Will this be like never really over all over again where she’ll release her next album more than a year later and bandaids will be a non single track on the album?

I think she will still release it... there could be a contractual obligation. Unfortunately I just haven't paid her much attention since she released Prism as I enjoyed her early songs but have never really connected with her as an artist. Her song, By the Grace of God and it's live performance (I think at the Grammy's?) are stunning and do highlight what I think is her potential! She has clearly been through a lot and I frankly never felt her music after 2013 really evolved or grew to match that. I could be wrong because I do not pay much attention to her work anymore.

Why even do an album? The last time she didn’t look ridiculous was before Smile when she released Standalone singles (Like NRO). Why not go back to that? The rest isn’t working for her.

Idek I was just assuming she was trying as hard as possibly to fully and completely move past 123 that she’d drop a new single and new album asap

Bandaids was received much better than anything from the 143 era critically but not commercially. The "success" of Woman's World came from Katy really making a comeback after a few years without releasing music, so there was anticipation. The Lifetimes Tour had demand because her last tour was 7 years ago and is more a greatest hits tour. 

I fear that she might go down the Cyndi Lauper route. Three very successfull albums with mega worldwide hits that will still be known in decades from the beginning of her career, but less and less commercial appeal and interest for her new releases, although she will always good for a throwback and therefore have a audience (of whatever size).
