jacs vs looser 4,552 Posted yesterday at 06:51 PM Share Posted yesterday at 06:51 PM That's absolute bullsh*t. Right when DWAS was on track to survive all the way until Christmas Yet, it didn't affect A Bar Song which should've gone recurrent months ago by these same rules.

elsamars 3,425 Posted yesterday at 07:18 PM Share Posted yesterday at 07:18 PM Finally a rule that makes sense. DWAS should have been stopped ages ago!!!

Just A Holy Fool 2,633 Posted yesterday at 07:25 PM Share Posted yesterday at 07:25 PM I would like to see a rule that requires a song to be released as an official single to chart on the Billboard Hot 100, these album bombs must stop. They have their own chart, the streaming songs chart, they can dominate that. 1

If they're being streamed, then they're being consumed. Thus showing their popularity. 56 minutes ago, Yaaaas Gaga said: These rules they come up with just seem so random at times. I appreciate they need to keep the charts moving but things were just so much simpler pre-streaming era. The charts just feel unreliable and manufactured nowadays. Yeah, they need to make some changes and these aren't it imo. Change the rules so a stream counts after 1 minute instead of 30 seconds. It would stop a lot of the interlude slop we're getting on every album nowadays (not Chromatica 1-3). Change the rule so that albums over 18 songs start getting their streaming weights changed. -3% to all songs on the tracklist for every song that goes above the limit. So that people aren't just able to stream a 30 song album with a bunch of 2 minute songs and a few 30 second songs in order to manipulate charts. Change the rules so that any song 6 months or older doesn't count towards streaming of an album, it'll stop artists/labels from tacking their years old hits onto albums. TheMontebello 649 Posted yesterday at 07:53 PM Share Posted yesterday at 07:53 PM Billboard is a ****ing MESS. Truth is it NEVER adapted to music when it started being consumed through iTunes and it only got worse when streaming became the norm. The fact radio even counts is stupid as hell. Billboard is a thing of the past and it should stay there. You like the fat girl I got in me 🍕

LG2008 5,653 Posted yesterday at 08:57 PM Share Posted yesterday at 08:57 PM (edited) How convinient... F*ck Billboard, they should give the same energy to control those ridiculous tricks some artists use to boost sales I hope they also removed A Bar Song, Wildflower and Luther because those seemed to avoid the previous rules all these months Edited yesterday at 09:00 PM by LG2008
