I've only seen such lamenting in Gagadaily lol It's very much well received by the GP and even most of the fanbase. I could see it performing much better than Disease, maybe slightly lesser than Abracadabra. 1 hour ago, Controversiaga said: So yes very different from the songs you just listed because those songs were already apart of their respective albums at the time of their release DWAS was also part of MAYHEM during the time when its tracklist was released so there's not much difference from the songs I listed. In that sense, is The Dead Dance not part of MAYHEM now?

When DWAS was released it was declared as not a part of the album. then because it was such a success they threw it onto the album. so back to my original statement - DWAS was not intended to be on mayhem Jfc Pronounced like “Balenciaga” . Emphasis on the “Ga”
Idefix1999 104
Maybe VIY was planned as a single, since it was mentioned on the stickers but it didn't materialize. With Abra and DWAS we have to very sucessfull singles connected to Mayhem. Did GUY or John Wayne or 911 made enough noise so people would know that Gaga has a new single out? Even Yoü & I or Marry The Night fell flat chart wise compared to the pre-album singles. In the streaming era post-album singles are kind are kind of unnessecary. We have seen multiple times from other artists that album songs can go viral over night while intended singles flop. Mayhem is a success as a complete album and it was promoted this way. Now we have TDD as a fourth single with a music video tied to Mayhem and it is good this way.
StrawberryBlond 14,917
There's no reason to believe she won't release more. The tour extending into April 2026 and possibly beyond is a massive sign that there will be at least one more single after this. TDD is clearly a Halloween based single which is why its been released in plenty of time before then, hopefully so it'll become somewhat of a staple by October 31st instead of doing the terrible fumble her team did last year by releasing Disease, a Halloween sounding song and music video mere days before Halloween, which meant it had no chance to become a hit and result in costume inspiration in time for the festivities because it had nowhere near enough time to sink in with the public. TDD is being released at the start of autumn to take advantage of this perfect window. But yeah, I definitely want more singles. 99.9% of fans want GOE to be a single and that would still work in the cold months. And if she makes HBDUWM as a summer single (which she should've already done this year), I'll be truly happy with this era.

She arrived late by night and they give Gaga the idea of DWAS and she immediately started writing the musical scales of it. They were gagged with her skills. The story sounded like they had written most of the song, Gaga wrote her verse, wrote the harmonies and helped finish the song. So the song was probably 60-70% written by the time Gaga got into the room We have forgotten our public MANNERS 1
