Like Boney M and bobby pickett and meatloaf music is sooo much a part of her and mayhem especially. the lady is corny and that's part of her appeal! There's really no one else in pop who is able to do that kind of corny music without it feeling overly cheesy but her titles aren't literal like that though yeah she's corny but even her corny songs have a title that's an actual title versus something like the monster mash... mother, what must i do? Stupid Love, Summerboy, Plastic Doll, Diamond Heart, Grigio Girls, ARTPOP, Bad Kids, Highway Unicorn, Money Honey, the list goes on lmao. I think we largely feel differently about these songs with corny titles because we have had the songs for so long we appreciate them for their totality not their titles but some of these I remember tracklists coming out and people saying there couldn’t be a way it was real bc they sounded too corny. Hell, some even said Mayhem was corny. my browser point is take a wait and see bc she tends to surprise us with things that might otherwise make us scratch our heads Edited Tuesday at 07:57 PM by Ziggy
StrawberryBlond 14,850
That sounds like a much cooler name, actually. Dead Dance doesn't sound like the most grammatically correct phrase. "Dance Of The Dead" is correct, Dead Dance not as much. But Drop Dead is very aggressive sounding and a bit controversial. I just wish Gaga wouldn't have so many songs recently referencing death in the title! Honestly, when I see Dead Dance, I think of Bat Dance by Prince. If the name has changed, is it to separate it from that connection? But yes, I thought of Britney's (Drop Dead) Beautiful as well! I just hope this song is serious and isn't too juvenile as it's in a show aimed at teens.

It’s a core part of her approach lmao. We have forgotten our public MANNERS 1
