Unfiltered streams hasnt come out yet, but less than 1.19M since thats #200

I find it odd it already dropped below PF and Just Dance when Mayhem era isnt totally dead yet

Those 2 singles truly became classics!

Taylor will end up selling 12M+ units with this one by next year at worst case so yeah... she's not flopping even if she releases 5 more albums as lukewarm as this in the next 5-7 years (and she will :Cautious:). The drops don't matter much when she'll continue to occupy the top 10.

The thing I've learned to appreciate is that nowadays numbers no longer matter and they're not a sign of quality

In a couple decades, artists like Gaga will be remembered for a more relevant legacy than Taylor Swift while Swift will be remembered for her numbers

Exactly. She may outsell Madonna but no one in the world can convince me she's on her level. She's not even on Britney's level and she's been absent for ages.

Is there some reason my LG7 isn't here? Has she died or something?

I agree Gaga will in many ways be remembered as more iconic/artistic

But neverthless Taylor will be remembered for the numbers and commercial success alone cuz u cant be that huge and not be remembered and considered a generational icon

I also wonder if there will be some nostalgia rose coloured glasses effect too. Taylor by being remembered as the female artist of this generation may make people remember her as a more impactful artistic artist than she actually was...

Ill give an example... the Beatles were massive AF, still the best selling act of all time (more than Elvis or MJ). I honestly think they were not that talented. Their vocals are mostly sh*t, songs are mid and their live performances were decent but lets be honest even in those days there were a lot better

But they created a brand, music that at the time connect to a lot of people and they were a generational phenomenom... and for being that huge and impactful they are not remembered forever as one of the most iconic bands of all time...

But im sorry, nothing can convince me they were any good. Even John Lenons solo.... every cover ive heard of imagine is literally better sung than the original yet its considered iconic but it sounds like someone whos dying im a hospital bed with no energy left sung it :rip:

jacs vs looser

So do we think Taylor is going to occupy the entire top 12 of Billboard Hot100? I feel worst case scenario for her is she occupies 8 out of the top 10 positions, given how Ordinary and Golden are doing well enough to possibly remain, and the other 4 songs end up Top 20.

Either way, DWAS might narrowly escape recurrent status (going down to position 24).

How many units has MAYHEM done worldwide including streaming equivalent units? Over 6 million now?

Do we think Taylor will overtake MAYHEM as the best selling female album of 2025 or not?

This might be a dumb question but if taylor is doing 200+ million streams a day why isnt she topping this

Genuinely asking

Taylor had 4M new listeners yesterday, another 2M today (93M), so she will pass Justin (101M) and Gaga (102M) in a few days. The question is will she surpass her own peak and the Weeknd's current listeners (both 116M).

She got almost 4M of new listeners, now having 90M. It means 4M people that havent listened in a month to any of her music checked the album.

It is also interesting that the collab also brought Sabrina Carpenter 3.5M new listeners in two days.

I agree, the Kids from the next generations will not necesseraly like gaga's music, but they will for sure understand why she got so much success and be impressed by her music, her videos and performances. Just like people from my generations see Madonna, Prince, etc. Taylor, on the other hand, will more likely leave them totally indifferent, bc what she does is neither timeless, nor impressive

Taylor will likely pass this before the month is over. If the rumors of her already selling 3M units in the US alone are true, thats probably another 2-3M worldwide as well. If only gaga was a better capitalist (JK thank god shes not)
