USA and Iran Conflict

ALL world states were in favor of a ceasefire several times during UN sessions; however, the US was the only country to veto the decision in support of Israel. Several US officials spoke about of their unconditional support of Israel, the latest of which was Trump's envoy to Israel who literally said 'in Trump's era, there would be no more West Bank, but Judea and Samaria.'

Now what you said may be true, but imagine if the US itself objected Israel's war in Gaza and atrocities in the West Bank, or if the US stopped sending weapons to Israel as a move to pressure Israel to stop the genocide, that would be a game changer but the US would never do it.

they vetoed the ceasfire resolution twice in December 2023 and February 2024 and in March 2024 they absented from the vote which made the ceasefire resolution to pass.

In December 2023 the reason was: "This resolution... makes no mention of Israel’s right of self-defense. That is why we could not support it.” Linda Thomas-Greenfield

In February 2024 the reason was that Israel and Hamas were in the middle of a hostages negotiations when the resolution was proposed at the UN and any interference would mess up everything.. it was a bad call at the end because negotiations went bad over and over.

In MArch 2023 Biden had enough, but still Israel is their ally, so absent was a way to say "Israel stop" without saying it out loud.

Netanyahu multiple times said that "we don't need USA aid" during Biden's term and he means it, so even if USA would have stopped their aid, the war wouldn't end. Israel has enough weapons to take out Gaza and the west bank in less than 24 hours.

Hamas and 7th October only did good to Netanyahu overall, it was like to hand him a present.

On the long term, stopping military aid would have made a difference. I remember Kamala making Israeli officials mad only because she called for a ceasefire. A little statement caused rage, how about a decision to stop the aid?

I don’t know how I feel. While I hate War, the people of Iran have hated the Iranian regime- due to its major attacks on its own people. Homosexuals there are thrown from buildings by members of the government and women are treated with zero respect. The people of Iran were cheering the US on as they bombed the nuclear sites(not the people). I wish there was a way for the people of Iran to have their own government and freedom without the involvement of the USA.

America tried to save Iraqis and Afghans from their own government, and now millions of them are dead, and the country is filled with terrorism and civil wars, and the new government is worse than it was. Also, the Iraqis also cheered Americas bombing of Iraq, just like Iranians are now. Its almost like history is repeating itself and we refuse to learn from it.

This is about creating a new Middle East; the same one Netanyahu has been preaching about for decades; a Middle East where Israel is the only state that can have the most dangerous, powerful weapons, and the rest of the countries are just below it.

honestly.. the middle east should be cleaned from weapons all together, it looks like as long as there is something to kill with, death will always hover us there.

I mean, let's remove Israel from the equation for a second.. the muslim and arabic world itself is at constant war, it's just Israel is a common enemy and uniting everyone together :laughga:

US is not the only country who's aiding Israel, most of the European countries are giving aid or selling them weapons, Israel is a major ally in the war business...

think about it, would any country prefer not to sell weapons to Israel and stop making money out of the conflict?

Our leader of the Department of Defense was a Fox News anchor. He served in the military, but his biggest career move was a television host on the most right-winged channel. There is no one competent in this administration.

And is a raging alcoholic. Let’s not forget that

When it comes nuclear power, it's either it should be removed from all countries of the world, or let them have it equally. I find it hypocrite that one country should be allowed to have certain weapons while others shouldn't.

Yeah but that's another issue for another topic :smh: the division is crazy.

that I agree with, a lot of people are literally benefiting of the conflict.

even in this, Arabs don't seem to make a unified decision because obviously not all Arabs see Israel as an enemy.

I don’t mean to be rude but please get informed on RECENT history.

It is not the US’s duty to police the Middle East. If Iran wants to be freed, they will, on their own. People in power are dethroned all the time.

The US bombing and getting involved usually leads to instability, civil wars, chaos, and great human suffering.

It also leads to terror groups gaining power.

The Taliban controls Afghanistan, even after the US presence for 20 years.

We need to STAY OUT. It it such a God-like complex to think we can just bomb countries to make them “progressive.”

It’s borderline insane. And Americans eat the propaganda because they’ve been fed the lie of US exceptionalism all their lives.

Please wake up. You will likely go into debt to get an education. You will go into debt due to healthcare costs. Housing costs are through the roof, most people are struggling to own a home. Food costs are insane. If you are a Millenial you are likely to have less wealth than your parents. We are being robbed blind in real time and you all are parroting US war propaganda like clockwork.

Iran is for sure a sh*thole, I don't think the debate is whether or not there needs to be sweeping change in that country.

The debate is if the US and Israel have a right to come in out of nowhere with allegations of WMDs (sounds awfully familiar) and facilitate that change which, historically, has never gone well for us anyway.

'Cause whenever we pick proxies or empower foreign regimes it's always with people who will (or claim to) do business for us. It's always about us. We'll install dictators worse than what any nation has now as long as they'll do our bidding.

If it was some altruistic "let's liberate the people of Iran" then there'd at least be that argument for involvement but there isn't.

At the end of the day, we'd end up installing someone that pinky swears to do right by us and Israel regardless of how brutal they are to their own people.

And that's why everyone in the ME hates America. And they're right to.

I think nobody should have nuclear weapons, it's not even something we need to debate about, we saw what it did in Japan.

We also can't live in constant fear that a lunatic leader would click the red button and eliminate a whole country out of existence.

I feel like we're still fighting the wars of all the dumbf-cks who did mistakes in history and all we want is just to live peacefully.

Like idk in a perfect world, u and I could be friends and I could visit your place in Palestine and you could visit my place in Israel, but we both grew up to a shitty reality, with shitty leaders, been fed with propaganda and "enemies".. and for what honestly?  :/

So I, an American, can watch y'all like

And also to keep y'all from realizing that if the sane Israelis and Palestinians banded together there could be a single state solution where the nation is shared between both peoples with mutual love and respect like...tomorrow :messga:
